Battle for Oz: Pirates

I'm drawing, and writing! Here is a sneak at a new creature.

 An Oz Harpy is a dangerous creature. They are not native to Oz. They migrated to the Fae several hundred years ago form parts of Nonestica unknown, which means they somehow had the power to cross the deadly desert, before it became a sea. No one knows their exact number, but what is known is that they are solitary creatures. Killing a Harpy is even more dangerous than surviving an attack from one. If you kill a Harpy, you are marked with a scent that all other Harpys can smell for miles. The marked become the hunted any time they enter the Fae. Although Harpy's are indiscriminate meat eaters, they seem to have a special affinity for Yips. Despite all that, they don't always attack (unless you're marked). If you encounter one in the Fae don't panic, they can be powerful allies and vast sources of information. Of course, if they make eye contact with you and grit their teeth, you might want to run.

In other news, the surveys are 82% complete! Thx guys! But that means that I still have 12% stragglers though, so if you haven't completed your survey, get on it!! As soon as I get all the surveys in I will go over them with a fine-tooth comb to make sure they are correct before locking them in. I have looked at a few of them already and have noticed a possible error here or there so I will email you if I have any questions.

Shipping Confustion.

I am starting to review some of the new surveys coming in. I am noticing several Oz Pirate backers and others are completing their surveys WITHOUT adding the shipping costs for the Oz dice or Action Deck. Please remember, I am covering shipping on ALL the books but I cannot afford to cover everyone's shipping on unlocked stretch goals. If you are a backer that is entitled to all unlocked physical stretch goals, PLEASE REMEMBER TO ADD THE STRETCH GOAL SHIPPING CHARGES to your order. I cannot process your order correctly without those add-ons. The contributor backers will have a third shipping charge to add for the 3d dice roller.

The only exception to this rule is the handful of backers I know personally that live in my area. I am happy to hand deliver your Oz dice and action deck if you don't want to pay to have them shipped to your front door.

To reduce confussion, the STRETCH GOAL SHIPPING ADD ON looks like this;

Select the Dice and action deck (contributor backers also select the dice roller) and Backerkit will charge you FOR SHIPPING ONLY on these items. Those of you that have completed your surveys and were confused or forgot to add these items, I will email you so we can get them straite. I received enough of a response from my 'smoke test' surveys to send the rest out so everyone, please be on the lookout for them! Let me or the support team at Backerkit know if you see any issues. Email me at [email protected] anytime with any questions about add-ons, shipping, or availability questions. Remember, the only add-on that's in question is the ArcKnight figure flats. I really need a minimum number of pre-orders to make this happen. To make sure I order enough dice and bennies, I am going to hold off ordering them until I get atleast 80% or so of the surveys back to make sure that I order enough. Remember, anyone that has the unlocked stretch goals; Oz Dice and Oz Action Deck coming to them as part of their pledge- I created two shipping add-ons to collect SHIPPING CHARGES ONLY on those items. Same for the contributors gift; the 3d dice roller. Please don't forget to select those to add shipping. I'm very excited to hear what you think about the surveys since this is the first time I've used Backerkit!

Battle for Oz: Pirates Backerkit is live!

I just got final approval from Backerkit and sent out my first round of surveys. If you don't get one, don't panic, Backerkit requires I do a 'smoke test' by sending out surveys to only 5% of my backers to make sure everything is working properly. That means that if you DID get a survey, take a close look, and respond with any issues, cause you are one of my test subjects! If everything looks good and I don't get a bunch of support tickets, I will send out the rest of the surveys. 

That reminds me, if you know anyone that missed out on the Kickstarter, please let them know about my online Backerkit store. They won't get all the goodies you guys got, but they can pre-order the book and other add-ons and be the first to get it! I am working on some kind of cool promotion I can present for pre-order backers now.  So share away!

To show my appreciation for your pledge to Battle for Oz: Pirates, I have decided to include a FREE PDF of the original Battle for Oz core book for EVERY PLEDGE LEVEL of Oz Pirate and up! (cause the Oz Freedom Fighters and Oz Deckhands already have it or get it). 

You can partly thank backer, Tim Wilson, for making the request. His question caused me to reflect on just how many of my backers are NEW to the setting. Physical copies of the original book will be available in the add on section of your Backerkit surveys, but if you just want a digital copy well, here ya go! The Backerkit 'stuff' has been submitted for review and once they give me the go-ahead, I will be sending those surveys (hopefully by the middle of next week). Thanks again for your support and creative energy ( for you Contributor Backers), as soon as all of the surveys are complete, I will start to send out PDF's of the original book!
