Sorry I don’t have better news guys but im still waiting on my layout artist. He got back to me by email this week and I found out that he is on vacation until the end of April so I will update you as soon as he updates me at the beginning of May. Im still working on some alterations to the Plot Point Campaign in the GM book but aside from that, that book is also ready for final layout (its already layed out, it just needs to be finalized with the Plot Point edits).  

CORE BOOK almost there!

As of todays update, I've only got about 12 pieces of art left to complete for the Core Book (including the cover art). I've completed over 50 over the past several months for both the core book and the GM handbook while still editing some content in both books. My designer has been doing a great job keeping up with my work and folding it into the final product. I was hoping to be done by mid November but now I am hoping to be done with the core book by Christmas. I think, given the work I have left, that is very doable but I will send out another update around New Years or earlier on that goal. My dice haven't shown up from Chessex yet, but they should be in my hands by the end of the year. The people that are producing my Bennies say January. If the core book is finished up this month,  I will devote my every day off to having the GM handbook complete in January.

DICE are ordered!!

The Dice are ordered and you can see the production photos of the final product below. The green and gold translucent dice with the OZ symbol on them will replace the old OZ dice since those older colors are no longer available. 

The new OZ pirate dice sets are in the Gemini blue/green and black/red with the Captain Jack Pumpkinhead logo. They will come in sets of 2 (1 of each color) for those that ordered them as an add on. For all physical add-on backers, you will get a full set of 7 black/red dice (1d4,1d6,1d8,1d10, 1d10 sided die/double digits, and 1d12) and 1d6 with the new OZ pirate logo in blue/green for a total of 8 dice (2 more dice than advertised on the Kickstarter campaign).  This is due to the way Chessex does custom dice. I had to order the custom d6 separate from the dice sets to your benefit.  

I'm still waiting on some production phots of the new OZ Bennies and the cards are being laid out with new art. 

As for the book, I'm just drawing away!! There will be a lot of new art and a lot more color art in both new books. I am still on track to finish this month. As promised, I will be dropping finished art as its completed on my Instagram and FB pages.

Orders are locked and Backerkit started the card charging process- The system received a ton of errors so backers please, check your emails and make sure that your credit card and shipping address is correct.

So after meeting with my layout artist, I have set a final publish date of Mid November to coincide with the upcoming JeffCon: the Final Mace gaming convention.  Its just about the art right now, I am tweaking the plot point campaign a bit but that aside, the editing and text is locked. My layout artist is just waiting on me and my final artwork. I have locked all of the Backerkit orders this morning and everyone should have received an email. After 48 hours, the preorders and Kickstarter driven orders will automatically lock and I will charge all of the cards/accounts for shipping and add orders this week. We will see how that goes, my luck this far has not been stellar so I expect the internet to crash, but will be pleasantly surprised if that goes off without a hitch. I am contacting Chessex this week in anticipation of placing the Kickstarter spawned dice order.  As final art is placed, I will post some but its a massive amount of new work. (given that I went from one book to two).  I'm very excited about finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. I will continue to thank all of you for your amazing patience and understanding.  Global pandemic aside, this project has highlighted many problems that I will correct with my next book ( Battle for Oz: the Emerald City). I am very eager to get these books into your hands!! I will keep you updated between now and Mid November with regular art dumps and layout progress.
